Market on Chapel
Saturday August 24 2019 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
Market on Chapel has been running since April 2005. A collection of plants. 2nd hand goods, antiques, handmade, lollies & honey. Operates on the 4th Sat of month
MARKET on CHAPEL Chapel was established in 2005 by the St. Johns Uniting Church at Cowes on Phillip Island. The dedication of their Fundraising Committee has been a key cornerstone of the Parish and through the Market they were able to support both local and international benefits. Sadly, over time, the number of volunteers diminished and a decision was made to close the market in April 2015…..but how could we let that happen!
So who runs the market now? The Market is co-managed by Donna Newton (The Jolly Lolly Trolley) and Darlene Stillwell (The Manuka Honey Shop), known as D&D Market Management.
They’re both very passionate about the heritage of the Island and would like to see MARKET on CHAPEL continue for many years to come and are thrilled to take the Market onto the next chapter.
MARKET on CHAPEL is currently the only market on Phillip Island that allows all types of stalls – second hand, car boot, party plan, produce, hand made, retail, imports, fundraising, plants & more. The only restriction they uphold is the number of the same type of products sold. For that reason stall holders must book in prior to market day.
